Omega Pharma refreshes online training portal with individual learning at the heart of the offering

Omega Pharma, the fastest growing top four consumer health company in the UK,1 has overhauled their free training support portal, to reveal an interactive platform aimed at all pharmacy staff.

Designed to suit the individual learning needs of different pharmacy staff, users are welcomed with a personalised dashboard summarising their training status and achievements each time they log in.

The category focused portal will house a library of interactive modules in leading categories such as pain, weight management, sleep and allergy many of which have been accredited by the National Pharmacy Association (NPA) and/or Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS).2

Easy to navigate, these modules will be accompanied by a real-time reporting system that will enable users to track their progress and record all of their achievements in one place. The achievements section has the capacity for users to upload all certificates electronically, irrespective of the provider they come from, so they can keep track of all their training and give their pharmacy manager the ability to review their progress.

In addition, simple navigation icons will take the participant to the latest news connected to pharmacy, useful links and a 12 month learning planner populated with key industry dates and training reminders with the option to add in the user’s own events and prompts relevant to their needs.

Louise White, Omega Pharma Marketing Manager who has led the refresh comments, “We’ve created a portal which is a one stop resource, truly centred on individual training needs. We consulted pharmacy staff throughout the development of the portal with feedback citing ease of use and comprehensive content and resources being the key reasons to sign up and create their own MyOmegaPharma profile.”

The portal which can be accessed from is a further example of Omega Pharma’s commitment to being the go-to company for training. The business offers training in a variety of formats in recognition that we all learn differently. Pharmacy teams can already benefit from:

  • Signing up to the Omega Pharma Training Roadshow – evening sessions running across the UK on seasonal categories this Autumn
  • Taking part in Omega Pharma University lunch and learn sessions with the inhouse sales team
  • Completing category training modules in print format and receiving a certificate of completion for each module

“Pharmacy staff are the unsung heroes of every community and deserve the very best tools to help them in this role,” continues Louise. “By equipping pharmacists with everything they need to properly support and encourage their team, users will be able to learn what they want, when they want, how they want.”
